Woodworking, in my opinion, is the most rewarding of all crafts. Theres no better feeling than when you complete your woodworking projects. More and more people are getting into the wonderful craft of woodworking. Some are doing it as a career and some are doing it, just as a hobbie. I just happen to do both. You know if someone works all day with wood, and then comes home and works in the wood shop, then they must love what they do. I personally have been woodworking for over 35 years, and still love it. But woodworking goes back hundreds of years. When the cavemen made their speers and clubs, I suppose that is perhaps when it all started.
Today, we have a lot more sophistocation. Every year someone comes up with a new woodworking tool to help get the job done easier. I pretty much try and keep up with all the latest technology and gadgets, but it can get rather expensive. All you woodworkers know what I'm talking about. Some that want to get into the trade, forget the fact that it's not just about making wooden projects, but the tools required to get the job done properly. For me it's an investment. The better tools I have, the better the job turns out, the faster I can get the woodworking project done, the more money I make, so it's a little more important for me to keep up with the latest in wood working tools. For the woodworking hobbiest, you can buy what you need as you need it, at a pace you can afford it. But having the right tools for the right jobs, makes things go a hole lot smoother.
